For Ontario landlords and property managers
List your rental free. Hear from tenants directly.
Renting out a unit you own, or units you manage for owners? Put them on We Sell Your House at no cost. Fill in one form, drag your photos in, and tenants' questions come straight to your email.
Two kinds of account
Landlord or property manager?
Pick the one that fits when you sign up. Tenants see which you are on every rental.
Landlord
You own the unit, whether it's a basement apartment, a condo or a house. Your rentals show as Private landlord. Tenants reach you through the inquiry form; your phone number stays private.
Property manager
You rent out units for owners. Add your company name and website (and your CMRAO licence if you manage condos). Your rentals show your company, with a link to your website, so tenants can see who they're dealing with.
Free, and what's coming
What you get.
Rental listings
Rent, terms, what's included, pets and parking, and up to 30 photos. Each listing stays up 60 days and renews in one click.
Inquiries to your inbox
Tenants ask through your listing and the message comes to your email with their contact details. We don't sell your leads.
Wording check
The form flags phrases Ontario's Human Rights Code doesn't allow in a rental ad, like "no kids" or "income 3x rent", before your ad goes up.
Walkthrough video, $25
A narrated video tour of your unit, made from your photos, in landscape and vertical.
Ontario lease
The province's Standard Lease filled in from your rental, with your additional terms attached.
Questions
Before you list
Is it really free?
Yes. Your account and your rental listings cost nothing. Videos and leases will be optional extras you pay for one at a time; there's no subscription.
Why do you check my first rental?
Fake rental ads are the most common scam tenants face. Reading each new account's first rental keeps them off the site, which is what makes tenants trust the listings here, yours included.
I'm a realtor. Can I use this account?
No. Registered realtors must show their brokerage and RECO details on rental ads, even for their own units, so they use a realtor account. Ask for one here.
Do the Residential Tenancies Act rules apply to me?
Almost certainly. The Act covers most residential rentals in Ontario: the Standard Lease, deposit limits (last month's rent and a refundable key deposit), rent increase rules and the Landlord and Tenant Board. The main exception is a unit where the tenant shares a kitchen or bathroom with you or your family living there.
Should I get legal advice?
Yes, before you sign a lease or add your own terms to one. A lawyer or a licensed paralegal can tell you which terms are allowed; a term that takes away a tenant's rights under the Act is void even if the tenant signs it. The Law Society Referral Service offers a free first consultation of up to 30 minutes. We are not a law firm, and this page is general information, not legal advice.
